Shallowater Methodist Women News 
 

We celebrated Easter with an inspirational poem, “Good News”, written by one of our beloved saints, Blanche Brady. The ladies enjoyed a delicious meal, fun games, and filled love jars for our blessed Meals on Wheels recipients. A big thank you to those who provided food, and Cindy Brashear for leading one of our fun games.
We also exchanged gift cards. We missed celebrating with Zandra,
Emillee, Eleanor, and Becky. It was a joy to see our sweet ladies and
we were glad Sheryl could be there.

The May 11th meeting will be a time for us to encourage others. Remember to bring greeting cards to be signed and sent out to those we love and cherish. Please provide names and address for those you wish to honor. This meeting will start with fellowship at 9:30 am and then writing the cards at 10:00 am.

June and July will be a time to gather for fellowship at Fred's Garage before we resume our regular meetings in August. We will let everyone know what day and time these gatherings will be at a later time.

God’s love and blessings to each of you. Leonor Espinoza from TX Department of Family and Protective Services shared vital information about ways our church could help meet the needs of families in our community. Leonor stated we could help through our prayers, donations, hosting events, and providing a Rainbow Room to collect needed items. We will be addressing these needs at a church meeting.

 

Our women’s group will be meeting at Fred’s Garage to fellowship as we take a break during June and July. I hope to see those who are able to attend on June 11th at Freds at 2:30 pm.

 

We will resume our regular meeting in August.
